FYI, everyone, Doug doesn't like people spelling the XR1 (Or any other XR spacecraft, for that matter) with a hyphen ("XR-2"). It's just XR[number], not XR-[number]. :)

That is quite correct. The issue is that the ships' actual abbreviated designations are XR1 and XR5, which are abbreviated forms of their full designations, Deltaglider-XR1 and XR5 Vanguard. Similarly, XR2 is the abbreviated form of XR2 Ravenstar. So it's simply a matter of, "It is incorrect to use hyphens in XR vessel names."

Please direct all complaints to the Altea Aerospace Public Relations Department at /dev/null. :)

How about 'the XR-series'?
 
I still didn't get my refunds for the ships destroyd due to the malfunktion of the hover doors. I doubt Altea Aerospace is doing well with there money. After all I purchased over two dozen XR[number] series crafts...
Now I am reading reports about slave labor beeing used to built the XR-2 ( :evil: )

I am loosing faith here!

OMG This is the most realistic thing i have ever seen. it looks like your really there looks just like the aura top secret plane that "doesn't exsit"

I think the word "fanboy" finaly has a place in this forum!

That usage is correct. :) Similarly, "XR-class" is also correct. The difference is whether when you are describing an individual ship (XR1, XR2, XR5, XR0) vs. a class of ships ("XR-class"). Then we have "XR Vessels", which does not have a hyphen.

Now, students, there will be a quiz on all this tomorrow. :lol:

How is development progressing? I must admit I am not a fan of the XR5 or XR1, but the XR2 looks to be a craft that I can use on the level that I have been using the DGIV, just as a fun craft to cruise in. I am quite excited to get my hands on the Ravenstar!

The model is very close to finished now and animation coding will start shortly as soon as we get some last UV map issues sorted out.

However, be advised that if you don't like the XR1 or the Vanguard you probably won't like the Ravenstar either because the instrument panels, internal systems, and autopilots are virtually the same across all three ships.

I thoroughly enjoy the XR1 and the XR5. I WANT BETA VERSION!!!!!!!

I don't mind the panels, I have flown the XR1 with the realism settings maxed no problem. I like the features, especially the APU and radiator, but I just feel that if I am flying the DeltaGlider, I want as many features and autopilots as possible, and the DGIV offers more gadgets. As for the XR5, I just think it looks incredibly ugly. :)
