I'm trying to get a bit more science into my approaches to the ISS by setting up a closure rate to ensure a FD3 arrival.

However, yet again, my mathematics let's me down and I can't for the life of me work out how to find out what the closure rate between my ship and the ISS is or work out what PeR and ApR I need to be at to ensure I catch up at the correct time.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Did you already look at that article?

Yes I did but I couldn't see anything in there which related to the closure rate per orbit.

well, you can go over the orbit periods (semimajor axis).
