Hi everyone,

I've been trying to update some of the stock Atlantis scenarios, and SSU scenarios that come with Sklyab1980, so that the payloads are attached properly in the Orbiter's bay using SSU 1.25.

I'm comfortable editing attachment points in the config / ini files, but I need some information that I can't find documented anywhere:

1. How many attachment points are in the SSU bay, and which numbers correspond to the "normal" 1,2, and 3 payload locations? If I try to attach to point 0 when the RMS is present my payload ends up hanging off the payload bay wall!
2. Does the SSU retain the same GS and XS attachment flags as the Atlantis, and are there others that designate special attachment points?
3. Is there a difference (in payload handling or otherwise) between calling the "SpaceShuttleUltra" module or the "Atlantis" module in a scenario?

Thanks!

I have made a drawing, I think it did not yet slip into the manuals:

What you are looking for are attachment points 5-7, you can manipulate their position with the mission files.

Yes.

Yes, we work on making sure that default Atlantis files are no longer overwritten, so SpaceShuttleUltra will be the only compatible selection for the future.

Urwumpe,
That drawing is brilliant! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

So do I understand correctly that the SSU does NOT overwrite the default Atlantis anymore?

In 1.25 it still does, but we are working towards fixing this.
