Hi,

Wow! what a great program, Orbiter really rocks. I found it a few months ago and i am well and trully addicted.

I found InterplanetaryMFD a few days ago and downloaded the "Europa to Callisto" tutorial. Everthing is fine until after the Eject burn is complete. At this stage I see the Soi around Europa and the REF reads "Callisto (weak)". As i leave Europa I see my ship leaving the circle that indicaes the Soi but the "weak " light never goes out. I have tried continuing out towards callisto but the weak light never goes out and I can't change source to my ship to do my correction burn. I think this problem might be something to do with gravity settings but I haven't been able to figure it out yet.

:tiphat:Hats off to Martin Schweiger for a trully amazing sim.

Which program is showing the REF Callisto? Are you talking about the Pe reference shown near the top left of Map, that's normal. It means your PeA at Callisto is outside Callisto's SOI, it has nothing to do with where you are "now". This is normal at this stage. I suggest leaving Orbit Eject open after the ejection burn, when you leave Europa's SOI it will tell you and wish you a good voyage. At that time, in Target Intercept, press the <SRC> button, type "x" (without quotation marks), and press enter. You will now be able to make the MCC's.

If the REF in Target Intercept says Callisto, that's a problem. Target Intercept's RF for that trip should be Jupiter.

Thanks

Hi Tommy,

Thanks.... That seems to be working fine now....or should I say I'm not doing anything wrong anymore. I now leave the orbit eject screen open till I get the "have a nice voyage" message, and change the Src to x after that.

It seems when I tried to set Src to x before i left the Soi, it told me it was an invalid Src and to change target to europa. If I did this I confused everything, including myself and things got more confused with every mouse click.

A thousand thanks.

Harry

No problem, IMFD is fairly complicated, and it will take a while to figure out the intricacies.
