Actually, those who have to do the decisions and who bear the responsibility of the programs, do in fact really praise Microsoft. Not as their role model. But out of a professional respect what Microsoft achieved.
I praise and curse Microsoft in equal measure. Most of their software is GOOD. All their software has annoying quirks but then I've yet to find a piece of software that works how I work.
My cursing of Microsoft generally lasts until I find out how the software was designed to be used.
