Whispercraft TH-1 CANARD ROTOR WING ADVANCED TRANSPORT HELICOPTER

The Whispercraft is a fictional aircraft based on the sci-fi movie "The 6th Day" - which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, In the movie, Arnold is a pilot who runs a charter helicopter business that uses "Whispercraft" - futuristic helicopter vehicles whose blades could be transformed in flight to function as conventional  wings

The texture is pretty far off from what was in the movie--the ones in the movie didn't have random splatterings of red stripes everywhere.

Pros: Nice solid and simple spacecraft3 model. The rotor/wing combo does indeed transform, although it might take a couple of tries to get it to settle in the right orientation.

I was looking for something that had a near future flavor and short hop capability to park around Earth spaceports. This does fit that bill.

Cons: Really haphazard texturing. I sympathize, as texturing is hard, but the model actually looks better with the textures removed and the base mesh given a metallic look.

The default cockpit camera position is looking out between the two center seats armrest level. You literally cannot see out over the MFD displays. Simple fix: replace the line starting "CAMERA" in the ..\Orbiter\Config\spacecraft\whisper.ini file with the line: CAMERA=(-0.25,0.4,6.35)

That puts you in the left hand seat with your virtual head in the headrest.
