Although I've remained a fairly regular poster on the forums, I've not actually used Orbiter a lot in the past four years, or paid much attention to much of the forums outside the "Far side of the moon" section. I've fiddled around with Orbiter2010 and OGLAClient a bit, but that's about it.

So what's changed since 2009? What significant new addons are there, and what Orbiter 2006 addons were broken by Orbiter 2010?

Just about any addon made for the 2006 version will work in 2010, as will any spcecraft3 vessel. A list of some good addons for the latest version is still available here.

Right now, the D3D9 Client is receiving the focus of many players, as it adds much graphical improvement as well as (usually) a substantial boost in performance on newer hardware. You might also want to check with the beta versions for further development of the Orbiter core. Some of Dr. Schweiger's most recent additions are quite exciting, such as the beginnings of planet terrain.

Wow, really?

I started Orbiter in 2011 and in that time, the number of new add-ons I would consider "significant" is already too many to name. Just surf Orbiter Hanger, or something.

There is this list of old add-ons working in Orbiter 2010:

But not everything made for Orbiter 2006 will work. Multistage and spacecraft3 will, but need a patch.
