Hi,
I'm currently programming some kind of universal VTOL-Autopilot and got some questions.
1. I used the MFD-Template to start with. Now I realized that this template uses almost obsolete functions. Is there an updated template (with use of MFD2 class) available?
2. How do I generate autopilot control feedback loops the right way? If anyone knows a helpfull source please post it.
Ok now some informations about the VTOL-Ap and the features it will have:
-Set and Hold speed in x-y-z direction if the vessel's pitch and bank is 0 in relation to the surface using RCS,Main,Retro and Hover thrusters.
-Using only Hover-Engines or Main-Engines(for Tailsitters) to do that with modifying the bank and pitch.
-Set and Hold speed in x-y-z direction if the vessel's pitch and bank is set to a specific value in relation to the surface using RCS,Main,Retro and Hover thrusters.
-Support of docked vessels. E.g. two DG-IV docked hovering 100m above surface and the ap will hold the set pitch, bank, and x,y,z speeds.
For this case it would be very helpfull to get the source-code of the integrated kill-rot and h-level ap.
