Although I was able to finish section 5 today, its actually not much progress as it is a very short section. It covers what bases the VSA will have, of which it only has 3, not including abort bases. I didn't get as much done as I had planned, due to the fact I spent a good deal of time trying to figure out if my mission assignment system would actually work out (thanks to garyw for helping there). I still have to pick some abort landing bases, so I will be checking runway lengths to make sure vessels could land properly there. Does anyone know of some good candidates off the top of their heads? I also decided NOT to base promotions off of real time spent flying, because that can vary depending on if time acceleration is used. Its down to in-sim time (i.e. You get promoted after 12 days of in-sim time) or missions completed (i.e. You get promoted after 5 successful missions).
I have yet to do the website mock ups, but those will be in before the week is out, I promise. Quite honestly, I don't know what else to cover in this outline before I get into website layout and whatnot. I'm sure I'm missing some crucial information that I will have to add in later, but its looking pretty decent so far. I am going to start making the mock-ups, but I probably won't post until tomorrow.
Also, I know it's a little early for this, but there's no harm in asking I suppose. Can anyone thing of a decent name for this agency? If anyone can, feel free to post!
EDIT: I thought of a pretty good promotion criteria.. Each mission will have a 'credit' value associated with it, directly related to the difficulty of the mission. To reach a promotion, you must get a certain amount of credits, and then you are eligible for promotion. The only problem I can foresee is uneven bidding. The missions with more credit will most likely get a large amount of bids, while those with lower won't get as many. It shouldn't be a problem once high cred missions get assigned though. What do you guys think?
Final outline version for today
Changes from yesterday:
Section 5 added
Minor Changes to sections 4.1 and 4.2
Minor Changes to section 2
