This add-on provides L8 global surface textures and L7 elevation for Venus.
Original data is from the NASA/JPL Magellan Mission.

The image texture was colorized based on geologic and slope data to give better results. The original altimetry data is of low resolution so don't expect much detail. Still, there's some dramatic terrain there!
The radar images have gaps so on some areas. I tried to smooth them but the result is not completely seamless.

There's an updated Venus.cfg to load the terrain, so backup if needed.
Clouds are a simple conversion from those that come with Orbiter 2016.

It is great indeed to see more bodies of the solar system get elevation data!

And in theory it could be better for Mercury and Venus, since NASA has higher resolution data. Unfortunately my PC and tools can't convert those.

I'm also cheating a bit by not providing all the tile levels.
On my machine it seems to be OK, although the change to higher resolutions is a bit noticeable sometimes.

All this to say that better results are possible and my Venus/Mercury are not definitive versions.

I'm having an issue after installing your textures. The clouds seem quite screwed up and the terminator is unrealistically rigid.

I saw the very same thing as Pioneer shows in that image - Orbiter 2016, d3d9 v 2,1 dated Jul 5, 2017
