I am working on yet another scenario and am basing it on AMSO and the Velcro saturns to get a working Saturn 1B with Apollo Capsule. However as im also putting another payload into the S1B I need to be able to turn the apollo CSM around and dock back to the secondary S1B payload that is still there.

Problem is when velcro does a jettison of a SERIESBURN final payload like the AMSO CSM it detatches VERY FAST. Im guessing at like at least 5+ m/s and you very quickly fly away from the main vehicle (in this case the S4B stage of either the sat 1 or sat 5 launcher). You can see this in the velcro AMSO saturn 5 scenario for instance. This happens if the S4B burns out or if you manually eject. And for the AMSO payload i need SERIESBURN i believe.

Is there anyway of slowing this jettison speed down. I tried fiddling with the eject speed on the SLA panels (those that normally surround the LM for instance) but this does not slow the CSM down.

I need it to just gently float away like the AMSO only S4B/CSM does so can rotate and dock Asap.

Any thoughts velcro lovers?

cheers

I have noticed this too. My current solution is to use Artlav's kill-linear on nearest vessel autopilot on the CSM so it stops at a manageable distance. Once I do TD&E as normal, I eject the LM (which still ejects too fast, and the kill-lin AP won't work because the CSM is always closer to it than the S-IVb is). It's annoying and breaks the realism a bit, but it at least works for now.

I would really appreciate a way to change this as well.
