Because she is smarter than most math teachers. And hotter as well, in a nerd-hot sort of way.
I have two slide rules, and while I've learned how to use some of their features, the learning doesn't seem to stick for long. If I used them everyday it would, but using a slide rule is NOT like riding a bike.
Which is irritating because I'm a fan of retro stuff. Tube electronics, record players, and knowing how to read a plain old road map when the GPS isn't working.

I think she could certainly turn this mathematical approach to music into something entertaining. Stumbled on it the other day in my continuing self studies of music. Might even be the approach necessary to inspire some as yet non-musically inclined "Orbinauts" to take up this wonderful art form!

That was from a tongue in cheek a segment in a poem I wrote 25 odd years ago to stop myself from going off my rocker with the same question. I am not sure that it ever accomplished the intended purpose, however. It went something like this (I binned all the several versions of it years ago).
"Like mirrors that exactly oppose,
An alternating tunnel of endless repetition does occur,
Lest there be the slightest deviation of alingment right,
Then the result is a vast circle; who knows
Where it goes, but certainly, far out of sight,
It does close.
Thus with my choking heart I do concur..."
...on to some irrelevant and flawed etcetera about boiling all numbers down to 0 and 1...
It was a great video :tiphat:. I watched it a couple of times. Don't know if I could have followed it then. I certainly cannot follow it now. :lol:
