Yo nunca pude usar TransX. Primero tengo un problema con las versiones. Y segundo no llegué a entender cómo hacer corrección de curso, aproximación planetaria e inserción orbital en TransX.

Small comment about your tutorial about 2/3rds the way down under departing from Earth. You explain well about the node and that you need to launch when at the node.

You should also mention that the eject orientation variable is adjustable. By changing it you bring the planned orbit to your position instead of waiting for 2 windows a day. Therefore you could launch any time. But the advantage is that by keeping the eject orientation adjusted the launch heading will change throughout the day so you can minimize the difference between launch heading and due east. Launching east has both the advantage of reducing necessary deltav to orbit, but it also makes it much easier to get the rel inc near zero during the climb to orbit. For example, if you are supposed to launch heading south or north, the easterly motion caused by the earth rotating causes you to be moving crossrange during the initial climb so you need to account for that by altering the heading a bit westerly from what is stated. In your example you got to orbit still 47 degrees offplane from the planned orbit. (earth2mars21.jpg)That's huge and exemplifies the difficulty.

And you can even adjust the eject orientation variable while accelerating to orbit to place the node just a bit ahead of you. With practice often one can do the initial climb to orbit and have the rel inc become a tiny fraction (like 1 or 2 %) of a degree, so almost no plane changes are needed after reaching orbit.
