Problem Thin-Looking Atmo on Install

My PC died a few weeks ago, and have been without Orbiter. I got it all fixed up with a fresh OS a couple days ago and promptly got orbiter loaded. But now every time I load it up, the sky looks black and I see the stars in the daytime. The atmo is still there when I go to take off, and I still see a haze near the horizon, but it looks extremely thin.

Does any one know of a fix for this issue, or what might be causing it?
