So many things change about your life when you first have kids it's impossible to keep track of them all. There are changes that begin just when you first find out, like subtle differences in the way you think, and if you're anything like me, frequent self-evaluations for the first five months or so (along the lines of "am I really good enough to be a dad? seriously?).
Then the baby arrives, and everything changes. Your life's priorities, your sleeping pattern, your shopping trips... Everything.
Now, I'd thought perhaps that the third time around, the changes might be a little easier to withstand, since I've done the baby thing twice now (complicated situation, don't ask). Er... No.
Having a baby and a three-year old sharing the same familial space is something of a challenge, something of a battle of wills between the three-year-old and the parents. And the changes happen still, so for anyone expecting stability, well, look the other way for the first few weeks at least.
Now, though, the baby is 5 weeks old and we're slowly establishing another new routine, the weekly grind and daily grinds well established. And I've found that they're not all that bad - just a lot more full, unfortunatly.
Still, the second or third version of the grind leaves me some space to do the Orbiter thing a few times a day, so I can live with it I guess. And it just might stop me going insane.
