Hi folks,

I wanted to start a new thread for this, because the other one is more about personal experiences. Also I chose this obscure title to prevent the people of the FIGU coming here :P.

So what are Swiss Disks and what do they have to do with Independence Day? Well, you all know the movie by Roland Emmerich? Sure. And it's mainly about aliens.

And now I want to introduce to you Mr. Eduard "Billy" Meier. To tell his story in a very short account: He was born in 1937, lost his left arm in a bus crash in Turkey in the 1950s and from 1975 on he had his very own UFO experiences.

And it wasn't only photographing and filming the ships. He also got in touch with the aliens. They came from the Plejades, but from the Plejades in the DAL-Universe, an Universe parallel to ours. They've installed a dimension gate there to travel between the two universes.

(NOTICE: The following text is intended to proof Meier's sightings as a hoax. The previous info about the DAL-Universe was told by him in his books. So it is also wrong, as are the sightings.)

In January 1975 Meier was riding his small motorbike, when he noticed a strange ship in the sky. It decended into a forest. He walked into the forest, following the silvery, disk-shaped object. There it was. He photographed it while he slowly approached it. When he was there, a blond woman talked to him, introducing herself as "Semjase". She told him about her origin and that the ship has a protective shield with a radius of 500 Meters (very important later!!!). With the promise of return, the ship left.

From that on, Meier got telepathic instructions where to drive for an appointment with the Plejadians. Sometimes, friends came with him, but they always had to wait outside of a small forest for example, while Meier went into the woods alone. He stated, that this would be because of the UFO's shield. But here is the perfect opportunity for an hoax: The really close encounters only included Meier. No one else saw the so called "Beamships" landed on the ground. In the woods he had plenty of time and nobody watching him to work on faked photos with little models.

The claim, that these UFOs are models is not unsupported. Kal Korff reproduced some of the photos, using casual items. For example, he showed, how a simple overturned dish lying on a table resembles striklingly one of the photos showing the UFO on the ground.

Also, many photos show the UFOs in focus, while objects in the background are out-of-focus. Which means, that there are again models in close range to the camera.

See these comparison between Meier and intended shots with modelx by the IIG: http://www.iigwest.com/investigations/meier/ufopix.html

(Meier states, that the aliens intended to mix some fake pictures under the real ones *looks around for believers of this :P*)

The most ridiculous example for this is the so called "Wedding-Cake-UFO". Here's an excellent website which says all about this type of UFO (model construction ;) ):

The info which he received from the aliens can be divided into two classes. Class 1 is info that cannot be tested. Such as the story what really had happened at Tunguska (see the Tunguska tread, my post). No one today really knows what had happened there. The idea of an UFO self-destructing IS crazy, but can't be rejected 100%.
Class 2 is info which can be tested with other sources. On Contact 115 (1979) he received certain info on Jupiter and it's moons. Most of this was false (like Amalthea being the innermost moon). But all these information had appeared in newspapers as the New York Times, as the data from Voyager came trickling in. So it wasn't Semjase, but the NYT where he got his info from! More info about the Jupiter and other "previews" (like the launch of Hubble!!) here: http://www.iigwest.com/investigations/meier/ike42report.htm

I believe I surely have left aspects out now. But I once learned, that too long posts are not likely to be read completely, so I stop here (at least for some time).

What are your thoughts about this? After reading all the evidence, I claim it a hoax.
