Sure, this probe contributed a lot to the scientific community. But it's still just a piece of metal and plastic that gets data and sends it back to us. (don't kill me:shifty

I miss checking it progress, I do still enjoy browsing its archives because they are so vast. A few months ago I bought some red blue glasses to enjoy the stereographic photos... OUTSTANDING!!

Bumping this thread! 10 years ago today Spirit hits the ground on Gusev crater on Mars. I still remember the Grade 7 English project I did about the "Mars frenzy" of late 2003 - early 2004 and the early days that I checked out NASA's Mars Exploration Rovers web page every day for latest updates.....
