In fact, the entire documentary is on YouTube, except for part 2, which has been blocked due to copyright :(. Why only that part has been blocked, I have no idea .

This provides a nice insight into the H-IIA.

edit: Actually, the second part seems to be
.

After celebrating Einstein's birthday and Pi Day, it's time to say Happy Birthday to SpaceX!

The U.S. Army's nanosatellite/suborbital payload/munitions launcher (because I like modular designs):

Sounds like "M&Ms", and the logo at 7:57 looks like it too. Imagine a civilian/commercial version of this.

edit: I found out that this was old news, from 2010.

I just love the music during the first part.

I see that there's quite a number of good advertisements among the many launch service providers of today
Someday, I want to make an advertisement for Hatsunespace.

I guess Michael Bay's going to have to blow up six Saturn V's to compete with this madness. I counted the Space Shuttle Explorer, Hubble, the International Space Station and a Soyuz getting destroyed all at once! I shouldn't watch this knowing there's an EVA tomorrow.

Forgive me if these were posted, but here are a few of my favorites

Turn up the volume. This clip gives a sense of how unbelievably loud the space shuttle is @ ignition.

Chilling animation of the Minuteman III launch cycle. Complete with MechWarrior 2 soundtrack :) Props to the camera man.

And what's better than an amateur rocket with a GoPro hitting an altitude of 121,000 feet? Skydiving from a balloon at 128,000 feet.
