Question smoothing in Anim8or

Any one know how to smooth a mesh. I need to add triangles?/ smooth my Ummu arms.

You could subdivide some faces near the joints, but I would try the mesh out in Orbiter, first. Sometimes Orbiter's graphics can make sharp angles appear softer. All the shiny pipes in my add-ons are actually 5-sided tubes instead of round tubes, because that's close enough and it keeps the poly count down.

I can't really tell how Orbiter's graphics change things. I periodically have to export the mesh and check, especially in regard to things like specularity or emissivity.

Exporters can also have an effect. 3ds2msh gave me odd lines on the apex of cones but Urwumpe's .an8 to .msh script seems to work fine...
