I've started (well nearly finished) work on a small UMMU / UCGO lander, based of george7378's "UMMU DG-IV lander" there isn't much left to do, I just have to finish adding UMMU support, here are some images of it in development.

Taking the lander for a test flight around the moon.

Awesome, I've been wanting to see an open-cockpit UMMU lander for some time, and UCGO compatibility is even better.

How many people can it hold?

1, though in a later version I plan to have it hold about 3 without the UCGO cargo

I was just wondering about this "hopper"... Has anyone read "Moonseed"? In the book I believe they modified a payload assist module (PAM) to act in this same way as this add-on.
Is this art-imitating-art?
Nice looking little lander.

Wow - looking good Woo482! Thanks for releasing the full potential of this addon.

That's what sparked my interest in the concept of an open-cockpit lander, actually.

In the book I'm pretty sure it wasn't a PAM, it was some kind of probe. They just stripped off the scientific stuff, reprogrammed it, wired in some controls, and strapped it to the Soyuz.

Struck me as much more plausible (though not as cool) than crash-landing a Soyuz in the lunar ice with the aid of a high-powered laser.

Hey lets keep it on topic , I'm having some problems with the animation code ( crashes when I also have the UMMU mesh display code ) but other than that the addon is nearly ready

Does it need to have a crewman to operate, or can it be landed without one (as an "automated" lander)?

well there is currently no checks for crew members so yes It can be landed without a UMMU inside.

Is it still going to be a DG-IV payload, or will it be focused around UCGO?

the current mesh is too big to fit in the DGIV bay, but I could easily make a "packed" mesh and use that while it is inside the bay

I've been using this addon for a long time but never saw a download that had handle bars for UMMU flying

What type of engine it is for Orbiter ? Main or Hover ? Because of autopilots compatibility ...

I never managed to finish that version, I ran into too many issues that I was simply too inexperienced to finish at the time, so I decided to go ahead and release just the UCGO lander by itself.

I believe it uses Main engines, but it's been too long since I last used it I couldn't honestly tell you

I can't figure out how to put a UCGO box onto the lander if the UCGObox is in range, its not in the read-me file, I can't find it on the HUD, and you haven't answered my personal message, it also doesn't say anywhere in this thread or on orbiter hanger mods. Can you please just tell me man, why not opening come forth with that information?
