Hi guys,

I've just modified TGT_HEADING Line in the Shuttle Fleet Scenario-files.

I wanted to give the scenarios the historical launch inclination. As i did so and changed the line for example:

TGT_HEADING <xxx> <yyy>

<xxx> = Target heading in degrees

<yyy> = Target orbit apoapsis

Interesting for me is the <xxx>-part. So, i took, for example, the historical inclination value of STS-51-J and changed it in the line into 28.50.

Then i've made a test run on this scenario. But it seems that the shuttle goes off a lot heading north in the ascending node. Looks like flying to the Poles.

So, is the Target heading in degrees equal to the Incination?

Or did i misunderstood?

Is there a way to convert the historical incinations into the scn.files?

Thanks for your help!!

28.50 is the inclination.
The degress would be something like 90 as KSC is at 28.5 degress lattitude.

I thought the Shuttle Fleet STS missions already had the correct hdg/inclination in the .scn file...
Was I wrong?:(

For missions that go to the ISS it does! I believe it is 42 degrees heading... :p

42.5 for the ISS which puts you into a 51.something degree inclination.

Ok, does anyone know the math formula for the inclination, if using launches from KSC with 28.5 degrees lattitude?

So, i could calculate it or convert by myself for the non-ISS-misions to historical values.
