Project Shuttle Fleet "Lite" for Orbiter 2010

Progress report on modified Atlantis:
  • Have completed updating aerodynamics, now AutoFCS friendly and works well, landing right on centerline.
  • Have provided the multiple attachments in the payload bay (common with Shuttle Fleet vehicles). OBSS can be attached and will "tilt" out.
  • Have provided the ODS docking port camera view with thruster re-assignment when selected.
Work to complete before release:

  • Still need to provide the RMS control box similar to Shuttle Fleet with inverse-kinematics and multiple payload controls.
Future work pending:
  • Need to provide COAS overlay on HUD when looking through docking port.
  • Need to provide landing callouts and HUD enhancements.
  • Need to update GPCMFD and RPOP_MFD.
Various orbiter selectibility is still questionable, at present only Atlantis is available in 2010.
 
Fantastic! Thank-you for your hard work. Your shuttle fleet has always been one of my favorites and it's the one and only reason that I still have Orbiter 2006 on my system.:tiphat:
 
Off topic, but Shuttle fleet 4.3 works in orbiter 2010. It just makes the cape canaveral area have white blocks.

Perhaps this is a foolish question, but why is this release dubbed "Lite"?

This version will never have all of the functionality of the full 2006 version Shuttle Fleet. For instance, with the LUA scripting available, I don't see any reason to move the launch autopilot code over. Additionally, I'm not sure that I'll provide multiple versions of the orbiters (beyond Atlantis). I'm mainly doing this to provide a little better version of Atlantis that has more functionality. This contains a sub-set of the Shuttle Fleet functions, hence, "lite".
 
Still, awesome work! Shuttle Fleet is one of my favorites, well put together package.
