Hi everyone.

I got fully setuped shuttle fleet(4.1.9) + expansion pack(4.1.8) + STS-125 mission.

Description of the problem:

1. Load STS-125 FD1 launch.scn scenario.

2. Start your shattle (item 777, in Virtual Cockpit).

3. Quicksave after SRB seperation(after 10-30sec).

4. Try to load saved simulation and you will get error (see screenshot)

Note: if you quicksaved when SRB reached the ground everything is fine.

My quicksaves:

0004.scn - T = 442 , after SRB seperaion = crash
0006.scn - T = 893 , when SRB landed(?) = works normally.

Also, I got another issue.I loaded FD1 scenario setup 777 at right time and got 4 deg. of difference between inclination of sts and hubble that to high. Maybe I missed something (correct my course after SRB sep?) ? How it was in reality? :)

Have you tried this with the default Atlantis shuttle that comes with Orbiter? You'll find the same problem. This is a known, and very old issue which I see no reason to troubleshoot since it is a very unique situation. Why would you attempt to save a scenario during ascent? Upon restarting, the ascent autopilot will not fly a proper ascent, and since I have found no good reason for save the scenario at this point, I never attempt it.

As to the 4 degree inclination difference on the STS-125 ascent, that is real. Because of the influence of the SAA, the orbits would align by the time of actual rendezvous (different orbits suffer different effects on their LAN).

As to the Hubble having a XPDR freq; you can easily edit the scenarios to give it one; I have found no need to as the other rendezvous tools available in Orbiter are sufficent for me to "find" my target.

David,

fyi
I alos get a CTD if I exit and restart current state once the SRBs have separated. I get this for any mission. My log is saying there is a mesh issue. I agree there is no reason to be exiting at this stage anyway. This is just a fyi post. My log showed a ptarp1.dds missing. I made a copy of ptrap.dss renaming it ptarp1.dds, but that didn't fix it. The loading seems to halt just after loading srbu.dss mesh.
If I change the scenario file for the current state to have a STS-126 Configuration 1 instead of 2 then it doesn't crash. I guess its a minor issue with srb separation mesh?

STS-126 FD1 Launch or any of the launches for the Shuttle Fleet 4.1.9 using the new SRB with shute. It is once the srbs have separated. If you hit J to separate early it saves waiting the two minutes for the issue.

Found and fixed a minor code issue. Actually has nothing to do with the SRB code; I'll save it for a future service pack release if I release one. I still see this a very obscure issue since I don't save scenarios during powered flight following SRB sep.

David, Just a note to say thank you for your wonderful work with Orbiter. I am using your fleet with my science students to encourage awe at space physics.
