there was a sub-forum for this sort of thing, but I am currently unable to find it, so I'm posting this here instead.
I decided that I would tour Saturn's moons one day, so I planned a course
that would take me from titan to titan, stopping at all the moons. take-off
went smoothly, but was long due to the fact that my delta glider 4 wanted
to spiral out ("do a barrel roll!" :lol
. I got into orbit (barely...) and set a course
for rhea.
After the tour was finished, I areobraked into titan orbit (with 10% less fuel
than I had expected, I had to do a mid-course correction to prevent
lithobreaking into Mimas). I then planned a decent to titan base.
during the decent, the sun set on me, so I was flying blind. I opened
navset MFD and prayed to the probe it would pick something up, and thirty
minutes later, it picked up pad one. I did a cautious landing... and set
down at 0.01 m/s... and opened my canopy. PFFTTWOOSH! beep beep beep
warning beep beep beep warning...
