Its worth watching.

for those of you how cant get it, Its called
"Richard Hammond's Engineering Connections - Series 3 - 5. The Space Shuttle"

Great show, thanks for posting it - made for a nice break from revision (and taught me a few things I didn't know) :)

at first i thought this would be something like Top Gear's attempt at a Shuttle/Reliant Robin cross, but i see its less... Top Gear and more documentary :D

Just in case you never heard of...

Needs more Jeremy Clarkson accusing Hammond of being a blithering idiot.

Actually, just about everything gets better with the addition of Jeremy Clarkson.

To be fair, they took on NASA, and were only failed by a single explosive bolt.

Everything with less Jeremy Clarkson is to be promoted.

I watched it last night. It wasn't bad. Obviously everyone on this forum will find it a little bit simplistic but I did learn a few things about the shuttle. Then drank some red wine and forgot them again. Worth watching if you can get it, but not a major loss if you can't.

Sorry, Jeremy Clarkson is a boor and a bore(my opinion) he only gets away with it as Top Gear is an entertainment prog.
Hammonds and May at least got their own progs, can't see any one employing Clarkson.

Either way none will come close to

or

Not that I'm biased of course....

Yeah, I agree that he definitely has 'boorish' qualities at times, but I do find him quite entertaining, myself :)

i remember seeing the rocket robin episode(BBC america) and found it funny. As for clarkson, i dont really care. The american counterpart is his dumber twin. :2cents: there it is

I think you are giving too much credit to the other two American hosts. The US version of TopGear is almost unwatchable. Clarkson, Hammond and May's antics make the show (my wife nearly wet herself laughing when Jeremy set their camper (caravan) on fire).

I suppose he's all right in small doses, and I did like the episode where the car-wash was wrecked...

I knew most of what the programme explained about the shuttle but Hammonds enthusiam was somewhat addictive and this programme is a must watch just for the vortex canon.
