Humor Random Comments Thread

I received an official complaint from the International Association of Mathematical, forbidding me to do some mathematical operation for fear that my random results (results of operations) make a space-time singularity that could destroy the universe, or create a black hole.
I have been ranked with: interdimensional danger.

The world is in my hands.:uhh:

At this point, I think it might be wise to tell you that every single computer in my neighborhood just grew legs and are chanting "Kill MS". :shifty:

I don't think you have to worry much, that "MS" could mean anything. Like Microsoft, since we all know Windows 8.2 was so good. :sarcasm:

...

Oh wait, nevermind. Now they're chanting "Matias". Maybe someone could lend you a handy bunker?

Matías Saibene is my name in real life, and I'm really bad at math, but I just take it with humor.

MS Enterprises, Inc. is not Microsoft (although I hate Windows 8 interface), is a fictional company that I use as a parody of corrupt and dysfunctional companies of my country, and is inspired by Buy N Large.

For example sometimes I name MS Aerospace - "The first sound of the crash"
or MS Electronics - "Appliances That just do not work"
something like ACME.

Or the prestigious Matías Saibene Mathematical Centre, which proposed using a cannon as a way to get to the ISS (at least this solution is better than the Russians).

So far I know no one who wants to kill me (except my math teacher:rant:).

Greetings.

PS: sends greetings, Frank Underwood the brand new vice president of the company:shifty:.

Is "The first sound of the crash" supposed to be a parody of my fictional launch provider's slogan "The first sound of launch"?

Oh my. I didn't realize that. I was trying to be humorous so I'm sorry if there was any misinterpreted meanings. I'm not too good at math either.

If this means anything to anyone, I will never and do not plan to post any derogatory comments that insult anyone personally. Because that's bullying, and I don't do that.

RANDOM SPECIFIC GIFDUMP 2!

spacex_og2_mission_1_p1_by_danirevan-d7mikin.gif

Took the better part of 5 hours, and GIMP went comatose everytime I tried to export. Finally decided to shrink the size of the picture.

And I'm not even finished yet, still have second stage flight and payload deploy to go through... :)

---------- Post added 06-16-14 at 12:55 AM ---------- Previous post was 06-15-14 at 09:17 PM ----------

Finished those gifs, but GIMP refuses to export the full result (I split it to ease the data load GIMP would have to handle at once). Might just post the individual parts.

And yes, I have spent 8 hours on this. I have free time. :)

---------- Post added at 03:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:55 AM ----------

The other two parts. GIMP is in the process of exporting the full gif, but it hasn't been responding for an hour and a half, and I'm just going to leave the computer on overnight and see what happens... Either way, not too optimistic that there will be a full gif.

Anyone have any possible suggestions for future gifs? I might do it if it isn't any trouble or too long, and if I have enough time.

For that I don't have to look back... but forward. IMS was never intended to be a one-off, but a base. Unfortunately I have to rewrite it to really serve as such. Just get the kids of my back for another few years. Oh, who am I kidding...

Teach them to code and make it part of their chores. :P

Do not worry, I did not express myself well (damn Google translator). In no time I felt offended me, but I will not go into detail on issues of language because I will cause confusion.

I want to use this post to congratulate all users Orbiter Forum that I have known, because at all times trying to maintain respect and that's fine. In a word all is well.

In the forums of my country, mainly users are treated very badly, talking to each other with terrible words, and even the moderators say insults and act tyrannically.

Orbiter Forum is the first forum that I know, and I have not seen insults.

I'm sorry I caused a little confusion, and I try to use simpler words (damn decadent Google translator). Thanks for your understanding:tiphat:.

In other news, Facebook seems to have been broken in Opera for the last several days, but Google is completely silent on the subject.

This has now been going on for about a week.

I'm now debating with myself whether to:

A) Stop using Opera (no longer being developed for Linux, problems like this are likely to intensify in the future).

B) Stop using Facebook (I'm not a huge fan of the company, and Opera has some really nice UI features that I want to cling to as long as I can. But there's a huge number of people that I only have contact with through Facebook)

C) Continue using Chromium exclusively for Facebook, Opera for everything else (horrendously inconvenient, but a compromise between A and B)

D) Try using the Windows version under Wine as my default browser. (Just tried this actually. The installer crashes. Also, the Wine application database seems to indicate that recent versions of Opera are pretty much unusable under Wine).

I forgot I entered my name as "Me Again Me" in my new gmail. Although the mail address itself contains my name, I realized I just sent a mail to a teacher and it appears as sent by "Me Again Me"
I guess it could've gone worse....who knows what I might have written there :P

At least you have a decent address. I've seen the CVs of a number of friends who never changed their teenage email address.

Yes, I would like to apply for a position in your company. I can be contacted at [email protected].

I would ditch facebook personally, but that may depend on your personal preference.

Out of curiosity, what exactly are the nice features that we hear about so much with Opera? I installed it on my #! install, seemed like a good browser, but it seems pretty much identical to other browsers to my untrained eye.

Linguofreak I'm not having problems with Opera and Facebook, other than sometimes not loading anything other than the sidebar,

Go home FedEx, you're drunk.

Seriously. This package was ~2 hrs away from its final destination in Jasper, IN. Why on EARTH would you send it to a sort facility in another state?!?

**Edit** I should point out, we have a FedEx sort facility 7 miles south of Jasper, in Huntingburg. It should have been routed there from Indy, hence my frustration.

Because FedEx is a special kind of (logistical) stupid at times.

Don't know how it is other places, but around here, FedEx drivers are much more professional, whereas the UPS drivers tend to be more rude. Also, If FedEx notices you're home, they'll knock on the door and hand you your package. UPS just throws it at your doorstep, knocks on the door, and heads back to the truck.

In the next chapter of Me at math:

The next chapter of Me at Math will respond at many existential questions:

Does have something to do with the mathematics of MS, with the global economic crisis of 2008?
Will be MS the real Argentina's economy minister and head of the restructuring of its debt?
Is external debt an eternal debt? :leaving:
Will be MS, the manager of NASA's funding?
Does the Opportunity and LRO mission will be canceled?
And other controversial questions.

Not miss the next chapter of Me at Math in The Mystery Channel.

Like everything in the universe, there needs to be in the middle of the two extremes. I personally don't like to put my names in a email adress that I share publicly, so putting [email protected] would not please me (well, I can give my first name to anyone, I don't have any problems with that, and no, my last name isn't Xxxxx). So what I use is the username I'm hiding behind when on the Internet, which is not derpy or anything, but does not gives my ID right away.
"Yes, and I can be contacted via email at solarliner@[provider].com."

Soo,
An email address should always be firstname lastname combinations, always. Even for teenagers.
I have to disagree with you.

EDIT: Whoops, was I, like, two pages late or something?
