I got a free repair on my 360 way back soooo....

But I do remember doing that with the N64.

Now compare them for their graphical capabilities. The tables are turned.

Tables can't be turned. They are two different eras of gaming, and thus, cannot be compared accurately. Say the Xbox 360 was in the same time, then you could say the tables are turned.

Even this image isn't really a fair (but rather a humorous) comparison due to the different way games are played on the two consoles.

How many ultracapacitors does it take to set a nail on fire?

e^(i * pi). You need to throw one of them at the nail to cause it to explode and set a fire on the nail.

So does anyone here play 4x games often? I absolutely love Civilization, Master of Orion, Galactic Civilizations, etc.

Like to play Call To Power 2, remastered version by Apolyton.

It's basically Civilization II, but with a lot of bad design decisions (IMHO) removed, like settlers-built irrigations and all the similar micromanagement.

I really enjoyed the first one. I haven't tried the second though...

Sid Meier's stuff? I used to play that railroad RTS a while back...

Alpha Centauri: best diplomacy engine, best gameplay, but the liberal message bothers me a little. Still, awesome game:)

Master of Orion 3: Love the story line and the huge scale of it. Diplomacy engine is a little weird (I guess it's hard to translate "Eoorrrooharemoorehawahh"), but my favorite idea has to be the mix of turn based play and a C&C-style battle system:headbang:

Freeciv: Like the concept, but don't play it as much anymore. The diplomacy system is useless, and the military and tech is so unbalanced I almost never get past 0 AD:(

A little weird? Plain broken is the right description, as most of the MOO3 AI. They made the mistake of making so complex mechanics that they were no longer able to write a decent AI for it, quite simply. The game would have been great if they could have pulled it of, but as it is it's almost unplayable...

I remember the famed "Ascendancy" suffering from the same problem. It would seem that Galactic civilizations 2 is the only 4x space game after MOO2 with a good AI, but it was heavily simplified (up to the point of no tactical combat at all), and the tech tree was somewhat uninspired.

Usually I play Aurora when I want a 4x game. Although there the AI doesn't even try to build an empire (alien races are just thrown in to spice up exploration. They're tough to defeat, but they won't come invading you), but there it's not that bad because you usually screw yourself before outside threats become a factor...

People like this are why I don't like most bronies. The ones here on OF and several on KSPF are awesome, but so many of them...

So many.

I understand that the person in this post is stupid, but what does this actually have to do with the fact that they watch MLP?

The crap plastered all over their signature and avatar.

(And before image macros in general were designated spam, hoooo boy...)

Cool. Have you tried any of the Galactic Civilization 4x's? The first one is probably my personal favorite.

I'm not speaking out against all of them. I never said I was speaking out against all of them.

I never said you were.
All I said is that its unfortunate that good bronies do not bear the face of the fandom, rather the annoying, idiotic (etc, need i go on) bronies do.

You were speaking out against most.

1. I misunderstood his post

2. In my experience, people like in my picture unfortunately do make up the majority of the fandom... I try to steer clear of them in favor of being around people who mostly keep it to themselves, like you guys.

I as a brony, feel that bronies like that in the picture are actually a minority within the fandom, but are quite more vocal about it over the internet, thus, this is all that people hear about. I could see why you would think them a majority, but I believe it's a common misconception.
