The first full row from the bottom... are those the strap-ons, or the cores?

I don't know. They look like they could be the right shape for the strap-ons, but the engines don't have any vernier nozzles.

The row after that looks like a row of strap-ons.

perhaps still undergoing construction (not familiar with how its built) and the nozzles have yet to be affixed

 I think Mojoey nailed it there. Those have to be additional strapons, minus the verniers and the skin around the load-bearing structure.

Perhaps, it's just interesting to see those engines without verniers.

EDIT:

More 'production line' pics (sortof):

Yes. Which is why I'm still on 10.04, and plan to switch to XFCE whenever I actually do upgrade beyond 10.04.
:( Oh well, I guess I'll just have to leave it orange for now and hope they change their minds and put it back in, or downgrade.

But downgrading sounds complicated, and by the sounds of it, it doesn't even downgrade completely, I think I'll wait and see if they put it back in.

You can also try XFCE. It's default settings are fairly conservative, and it can be themed through text files (which isn't as convenient as the old GNOME 2 theme configuration utility, but better than GNOME 3, which apparently uses a binary format in addition to having no theme configuration utility).

And downgrading is only a temporary solution, as Lucid will only be supported through 2013. I've experimented with XFCE and have found a configuration I generally like, and plan to use that come 2013. There is a chance, though, that GNOME 3's fallback mode may mature and gain configurability, in which case I may use GNOME 3 fallback mode.

Fun fact: In Pokemon (Pokémon) Heartgold and Soulsilver (remakes of Gold and Silver, the second generation Pokemon games), the executives of the evil Team Rocket are named (they had no names in the original): Proton, Petrel, Ariana, and Archer

In the original Japanese version, they are respectively called: Lance (changed in the English version to avoid confusion with another character named Lance), Lambda, Athena, and [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_program"]Apollo[/ame].

Also, they're named after other rockets in other language versions.

That's why they're called Team Rocket. :P
A bit late to the punch there, Pipcard.

I'm wondering when Google realized that 'whats my ip' is a common search. This appears to be a new feature of Google search. :3 (unless I've just never noticed...) Try it out!

Ready for the car ride to Disney World. Got Pandora on my phone, and if that's not enough, I can wake up my laptop (which will be my happy little cloud staying at home) and use Gmote to stream music or use VNC to do real work. Not to mention the portable DVD player we ARE taking. Ah technology...

I've recently decided to freeze myself to -273°C.
My friend thinks I will die, but I think I will be 0K.

;) read it carefully
