So I'm watching The Terminator (1984) on AMC, and there's a bum in the alley whose pants are stolen by Kyle Reese after he time travels.

I decide on a lark to look up the name of the actor who plays the bum. I like to look up nobodies in movies to see how many other movies they are in, you'd be amazed how many people make a whole career out of playing bit roles.

This guy plays a homeless bum in more movies than anyone I can think of!

Stan Yale is his name, and you've probably seen him in more than one movie or TV show and never known it:

And here's another one: the garbage truck driver at the beginning of the film, first actor to make an appearance in a Terminator film. He has two lines, "What the hell?" and "What the hell!", and he runs away. His name was Chino "Fats" Williams, he appears in the bar scene in Wierd Science, and he passed away in 2000:

Actually, I found out later that it was a garbage truck.

P.S. If you happen to have any pictures of loony garbage truck cats, I think I might never enter a motor vehicle again...
Oh! Oh! Maybe the garbage truck was this guy's ghost! That makes sense, right?
Eye'm a genius!

Wow, it's only been what? Five months? That's got to be a record for me.
I happened to look back at my earlier posts, and I was surprised at how dumb...er, I mean, blissfully ignorant I was, not only of spaceflight and Orbiter, but of this forum's society. (Yes, you guys have a society. Sort of, anyway.)

Of course, then I looked at my recent posts and realised that this hasn't really changed.

Are you tired of me yet? Be honest. ;)

Tired of you? Bro, quit brojangling.
You're like my number one bro since day one. And we haven't even had a day one, cause we haven't even met. No other bro could beat that nuclear bird and still make it to his bros back from the moon without speaking the Japanische.
Bro fist, it's 5 bros or I'm not a bro.

While reading about the F-4 Phantom II I found out that one crashed into a house 2 kilometers from here in 1979 and killed 7. Never knew that such things happened here...

Cool story, bro.

Sorry, I just had to say it.

Just came back to Moscow.
ARRGGHH. Who turned up the Sun?
+39C in this humidity is something intolerable.
And AC broke because it's "not designed for hot weather".

I only get to writing this script for a video before I go to bed, when it interests me, so I'm not getting very far...

Well, Murphy's Law is intuitive with air conditioning and heating, since those systems can only break down when you're trying to use them, and you only try to use them when you need them!

two days ago was Srebrenica memorial day. The TV was runing in our living room, and they were sending coverage the whole day. Lots of talk-talk by politicians, but one scene caught me completely by surprise and sent me laughing and caughing for a few minutes:

At first they were talking about how many victims were already burried, how many were buried this year, how many they expect aso. Then everyone took a turn talking about how tragic it was and how it should never happen again, and they threw in a few scenes from comemoration speeches that were held in other countries. Among others germany. And there it comes, between bodycounts and depictions of the massacre, some german politician gets to say a few words, in front of him a sign saying "Deutschland kann es besser"!! (Germany can do it better, probably the slogan of his party for this year or somesuch).

I guess the people cutting the stuff together over here weren't too adept at german...

Timer Fail!
I think that type of post is better suited here, actually, but I dunno. It seems to be just for new features testing by admins and stuff.

The event timer uses UNIX timestamps, that weren't meant to be used in year 2510.

This is interesting, I was watching the new Futurama episodes and I suddenly got an idea for solving the problem of sustained fusion reaction. It's so simple, I can't believe I didn't think of it before!

Anyway, it involves setting up a magnetic field with....ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD

...wait, I forget what I was going to say...
