I seem to feel the same unexplained confusion when trying to read JavaScript code as I used to in my younger years when looking at algebraic equations (any time I used to see a lot of numbers and letters together at once, for no reason at all, my brain would, for lack of a better term, 'lock up').

In all honesty, I think I might be mildly dyslexic.

Maybe it's normal cases of a lack of experience?
You don't know the patterns yet, so you don't know what to look for, and thus lock up.

Perhaps. It's not that I can't read the code. It just takes me a while longer to pick through it and get the logic. But I normally get the hang of new languages rather quickly, and I don't remember ever having this much difficulty with other languages (VB6, C++, or Java, for example).

Perhaps what I not meant was resistance, rather than any military taking interest in such a thing.
