Hey just a quick question as I'm not quite sure how everything works yet, Is there an add on for making up a quick flight (similar to in MS Flight sim) where you can select ship, time of day, launch pad etc etc.

Or do you have to use some kind of scenario editor, build up a scenario then load it into the scenario folder.

my second question is it it possible to have a standard enviroment, for example if i were to add space stations or surface bases, they would always be there for most or all scenarios.

do these questions even make sense?

Well, there would be ScnEditor. You can select a precise date, add ships (not staged ones, like Atlantis) and slect a launch pad; even more, you can select a precise location by providing it's coordinates. It's not complete but makes most of us more than happy. If you know how to use other setting values you can even put yourself in flight at a certain speed, I use that all the time to test final approaches.

You'd have to use the scenario editor that's included with orbiter.

And no, you can't have a "standard enviroment" more than the specs of the solar system (which you can create your own), but stations and the likes are included in the specific scenario file.

Of course, if you create your own scenarios, i supose you could have a "template scenario" with desired stations etc, that you can just copy/paste in your new scenario file, add desired ships, then save.

Maybe you should try out Default_Scenario_0.2
This module loads vessels (stations, prelude-like bases, etc) specified in default.sc file into running scenario, allowing to have a set of vessels present by default in whatever scenario you run.

Thanks guys I had a bit of a play with scenario editor and found what I needed. I might check out that default scenario tool tonight.
