Problem running Orbiter on fresh Windows instal

Today I had to re-install Windows XP pro SP3 on my computer and when I copied my orbiter folder onto the computer and tried to run Orbiter I got an error stating "application configuration is incorrect".

What am I missing here ??

Did you backup Orbiter and just copy it back onto your computer after re-installing?
If so try to re-download it and see if a clean copy will work. It will be a good place to start.

Try to install vcredist_x86.exe from Orbiter\install\ folder.

That's the problem. You lack the Redistributable Package. Install it like Peter Ross said.

After installing windows it's always worth install .net framework and the various windows C++ runtimes. It generally saves a lot of head scratching later on! :lol:
