I'm wondering if plasma waste converters could be viably used in space (such as in colonies on Luna or Mars, or even space stations and interplanetary spacecraft). I've been thinking that the gas produced by it could maybe be used for a rocket fuel, or could be used to generate electricity.

Anyone think this would be viable for space?

I don't believe that the energy released from the product would be greater than energy required to heat the plasma. It could be viable as a propellant generator if electrical power was abundant.
