i know i can reach the side on http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk , but the adress http://www.orbitersim.com is not working (HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.) !?

My first thought was, that the Orbiter page is going to be overhauled due to the release of a new orbiter version.
But since http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk is still working, I figured out, that there is no impending orbiter release...

Technically, the URL www.orbitersim.com was provided free of charge by M6.net, so my guess would be that they have decided to pull it as it technically was owned by them.

Perhaps but the orbitersim.com DNS registration is valid until July of this year. More likely that the server which orbitersim.com points to is having a redirect issue.

It has been down for me every time I tried this address since at least last November, so either I miss moments when it's working, or it isn't working at all (and I got used to orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk instead, so usually I don't check the www.orbitersim.com).

Well, I hope it comes back, because even though I'm a Mac user now, I still tell everybody I know who're PC users about Orbiter, and orbitersim.com is far easier to remember when writing on a napkin or posting a link on a forum.

I tend to send people here to the forum. I'd heard about orbitersim.com not working. Orbiter-forum not only introduces them to the site, but they see how much interest and support the program has.

It's not just the domain there that's down, the entire university server is offline. Be patient, I'm sure it will come back soon.
