Discussion "Orbiter Council" to guide open-source development

I just noticed that Martin has actually left as developer/maintainer in Orbiter's git repo... :(
I think his putting it on github and helping migrate to x64 was his way of "passing the torch". I don't want to speak for him, but it seems like the MIT license was his way of letting the community choose the way forward.

You mean that he is not in the "People" list of the "orbitersim" user? I think that's just because he handed it over to DBeachy1 to enable community-driven PR merges.

OK. Development continues.

Any milestone list?
What is a way to add more API calls?
What API calls are planned to remove?
Any plans to change MFD API redesign?

No, this isn't really correct. All of us who are listed in the orbitersim organisation are just listed as "member" level, including dbeachy1, martins, and myself. We have write access to the codebase, so we can merge PRs, but have no administrative-level access to the project, can't add new people or integrations, etc.

I believe it's still possible that martins retains ownership of the organisation, and this is just not displayed.

My statement was regarding the fact that Doug is the only one listed in the "Peoples" section of the "orbitersim" user (at least for me). This might lead folks to think that only dbeachy1 is the developer/admin of the project.

I can settle that concern pretty quickly, it seems.

Alright, so the others are just not publicly visible. Any reason why that is the case? Personal choice or just some default on github?

The default is private, because I haven't changed it from mine either.

Edit: Now I have.

Default is private. I just recently discovered this because mine was set to private for orbiternassp.
