I am using Orbiter 2016 fullscreen (1280x1024) and when I exit I find that all my fonts in Windows 10 (example: file manager, within Chrome browser) look thin and broken. A reboot solves the issue but what is Orbiter doing that it doesn't undo?
This is the "Font smoothing" enable/disable feature.
At the launchpad:
Go to Extra -> Debugging Options -> Performance Options (double click)
and select / deselect the according options.
In your case you might have to check the "Enforce font smoothing on exit", so Orbiter (re)enables font smoothing on exit.
