Old Computer Games You Still Enjoy

Ah Elite. I played that on C64 until I was deadly. Never bothered become Elite it was just too tedious (I think you needed 64.000 kills..).

I did not like Frontier much. I mean, Kudos that they tried to implement realistic space combat but it was just awkward and annoying.

But seeing Enjo post, His Avatar contains a game I just recently played again. Mercenary was great :)

Homeworld 1 is still available for purchase per the relic homepage, so it's unlikely the source has been released. >.>

Amazon have some cheap copies here, if anyone's interested.

Solitaire - what? its been included in windows for 15 years!
minesweeper
KOTOR
Quake II
Tetris

Zeewolf on Amiga 1200. Works quite well on the WinUAE emulator (once you have worked out what the keymap is doing!)

Some of my old favorites:
Chuck Yeager's Air Combat
Aces Over Europe
Aces of the Pacific
Red Baron (1, 2 and 3d)
Jane's Fighter's Anthology
Jane's WWII Fighters
IL2 series

I like playing, natively on the PC -
Typhoon 2001
Doom
Quake
CounterClockwise 16x16
NoLimits Coasters
X-Plane v5.66
Tower

And of course then there are the classics - through emulation such as:
Assault
Gyruss
Tempest
Missile Command
Defender
Tac/Scan
Zaxxon
Road Blasters
I,Robot
Liberator
Timepilot
Discs of Tron

Then there are the games like -
Atari2600 - space invaders, galaxian, surround, combat, phoenix, etc..
And not forgetting Intellivision, Astrocade, Vectrex, Commodore-64 & vic-20, ColecoVision, And especially atari 8-bit computers, and commodore amiga, games too numerous to list.. All played through the magic and wonder of Emulation!!!

And definitely not forgetting, anything from the Apple ][ series of computers.

Most fun was programming bbs software and playing Flight Simulator I and Star-Maze

Age of Empires II
SimCity 3000 (If my computer could run it)
RollerCoasterTycoon

minesweeper! hahahh

well they aren't pc games but i like to play super nintendo games sometimes on my emulator. I didn't have a computer growing up so i didn't have old games to be old favorites, always just had old nintendos. oh but i did play oregon trail at school. I think my favorite old game that I still play is lode runner. that games sweet! oh but the only copy i had of it was on my palm pilot, so i guess that doesn't count.

Ultima, currently Ultima 5, but I have a "collection" that has 1 - 8, plus Aklabeth (sp?).

Janes fleet command is still high up on my must play list.

Oh, speaking of old space games, there is [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_Tycoon]Moon Tycoon[/ame] which I can't run anymore. I really enjoyed that one.

Hmm, just ran across this thing:

Space Station Sim

Seem to be a 'Sims on the ISS'. Anyone happen to know more about it, does it worth it, etc?
I have this sim. I never play it now, Sims-type games don't really appeal to me. It got boring fast to me... It really is just a Sims kind of game. You take care of your astronauts, perform actions to maintain the station, add to the station, etc.

Thanks, I guess I'll check out the demo.

Just realised that I completely forgott to mention Star Controll 2

Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed.

Who doesn't like Porsches?
