That's very vague description.
Knowing what addons have you installed and in what order could help.
If you could post the contents of the canaveral.cfg file, it also be somehow useful.

In the folder .../Config/Earth/Base

I think the High Resolution KSC surface tiles([ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2811"]http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2811[/ame]) remove the pad, have you installed them?

ok i found the file but how do you read the info on it? and i installed alot of addons but they where from the orbiter site. like the hi re planets etc. now i also installed the amso add on i think it was that that caused the problem

Either:

1. The launch pad has somehow been removed from the Canaveral.cfg file

or

2. You are not loading the Canaveral .cfg file when you load a scenario, you may be loading a different .cfg file.
e.g: you may be loading KSC.cfg, not Canaveral.cfg

I would recommend simply installing these 2 addons to fix your problems, both will greatly enhance your KSC experience

1. Hi-res or Med-res KSC (both same, just different resolutions)
NOTE: Hi-res NOT for low-end PC's!

Yes, I expected this, your scenarios will need to be changed.

I have attached a scenario for you to try, tell me if it works or not

Controls:

. Press F3 & select "fssa"
. Press K to rotate the RSS
. Press G to retract the fuel cap & gantry

What about the meshes or textures for LC39 and the tower? Normally, Orbiter will crash when they're missing, but I've seen a few instances where the scenario will load and run without the missing files.
