Hi,I would like to know if the there is a newer TransX version than the one supplied in orbiter2010?Thanks

The latest version is 3.14.0.3 for both official build from September 5, 2010, which is included in Orbiter beta, and for unofficial build with additional fixes by atomicdryad, from January 30, 2011, there: "[Update] TransX: Typed input button and graphics fix". There were no newer builds made.

Oh hellllllll yes!!!! How many times have we been taunted by the low settings that aren't low enough! Manual input baby! (But BTW wonder why a smaller setting wasn't added as well. Oh well)

I keep telling myself I need to take a look at TransX and learn its tricks, since I have done just about 99% of my interplanetary travel using IMFD, the other small bit using LTMFD (okay, those are not to another planet, but you know what I mean),

and with all this talk about Trans X v IMFD, Trans X working with Trajectory Optimizer, and now this, I will take it a wake up call on my end and finally give Trans X the attention I have so long neglected it.

And I hope it won't be too painful as I have grown quite used to the IMFDs and LTMFDs auto burn capabiliities.

Read the deep space manual in the TransX docs folder and understand the basic concepts about what you are working with.

Earth-Mars is by far the best to try a bunch of times with. And follow Flytandem's tutorials.

I personally use v3.13, even though its for Orbiter 2006-P1.

Adding the 'hyper' adjustment mode was one Of the first changes I did. I didn't realise the need for any adjustment smaller

With the amount of error induced by patched conics solution, improving the fineness of input parameters is not going to do any good.

For lunar flights it becomes annoying when you are playing with things like the twice monthly possible transfers from ISS to the moon.

Tho Wishbone makes a good point. Maybe its just my Ego wanting that perfect solution.

As far as error tho I notice quite a bit more happens due to the graphics running in orbiter. At higher time acc it really seems to have an impact on the orbit even with just the star field rendering. Orbiter_NG seems to be without this issue but has max CPU load on one core.
