Hi everyone, just wanted to say hello. I'm Karl, I've been playing orbiter 2010 for a little while but am still learning the ropes. I've just managed to fly from Earth to Saturn, land on Titan and screenshot Saturn as seen from the surface of Titan. I very proud of this achievement and wanted to share this pic with you. saturn seen from titan.jpg

Wow, it's not often that someone's first post includes a Titan landing. :tiphat:

How long have you been playing?

You seem to have done well on the ropes. I'm still tangled.

Welcome !!

Thanks

Thanks all, I've been playing on and off for around 3 months but only just started downloading addons so finally figured out the Interplanetary MFD to get to Saturn, then used the manual Align Planes and Transfer MFD's to get to Titan. The fact I could see Saturn through the atmosphere when I landed was pure luck haha.

After three months I felt lucky to get to Mars.

I think you will do well here. :)

I managed Mars on Monday and have done a fly-by of both moons there, I skipped past Jupiter to Saturn because, well....Saturn's cool. I'll visit Jupiter next, I plan a landing on Europa and Io. The thing I find most difficult is a flight to the ISS, I've managed to take off and dock with it twice but it took bloody hours and it was a very long winded way of doing it. Anyone with any tips or a link to a good tutorial for this would be gratefully received :hmm: Thanks all

Welcome to the forums! Looks like you're off to a fine start. Tex's video is a really good example of an ISS run.

Thanks, that was really helpful and I've just managed ground to ISS dock in 5 orbits, my best yet. Great Tutorial
