I decided to go on building my space station, MYSS (My Space Station ) and to move the news of it's construction from my profile page into an own thread.

The first part, Neesys, was launched by an Titan IVB.
Part 2 (Mir-2 Core) was send up with an Energia

Following flights:
XR-5, with an Dragonfly and some Trusses
Energia, with Esastar
Space Shuttle Columbia, with Destiny and PMA
...
...

The stations Orbit has an equatorial Inclination of 54.95° and
an altitude of 300-400 km.
The high Inclination makes it possible to have only short
orbital nights often.
XR-5 is now ready for takeoff:

Mir-2 is in it's new position now and the first truss is installed.

Truss installation finished at MET 21:30

Now the UMMU compatible ESASTAR will be delivered by an Energia.
A few crewmembers from the XR-5 will be transfered into it.
Liftoff of Energia with Esastar!

ESASTAR is docked.

XR-5 landed after 3 days and 10 hours and a perfect reentry.

Columbia has undocked, PMA and Dentiny installed.

Now XR-5 will again launch to it and bring up two more trusses and two solar panels.
Zvezda is docked:

Next parts: Zarya, Mir-2 Titan
Zarya is docked (8 days after the first part was launched )

Now some parts of the ISS are following.

-----Posted Added-----

Just decided to add skylab:

Today a Progress was launched and the CTV landed near the African eastcoast. Now Pirs is launched to allow EVA's.

And Pirs is added!

Atlantis landed safe at Edwards, two "Polaris" radiator modules were added to MYSS, and the Dragonfly was not needed anymore and burned up over the Atlantic Ocean.

Oh no, you destroyed dragonfly! How could you! You, sensless spacejockey, you!
:) :)

Interesting choice of launchers, btw

And I waste a lot of space abort the shuttles, I just launched Discovery only with the small Cupola:

And my FPS gets lower and lower with every module...

What spaceport do you use to launch energia? And what chance might I have of getting it?
I used "Bad Salzuflen" (My hometown ). You need [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3005"]LC39-EAFB 2006.3 (Lo-Res)[/ame] for the launch pads. Move "Bad Salzuflen.cfg" to Config/Earth/Base .

The Surface tiles are my [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3443"]Central Europe Surface Tiles[/ame].

Something I have wondered about... Would it be possible with the space station building blocks to take your scenario, that you have your space station built in, load that file up into a .exe that would take all the pieces and compile it and build it into a mesh of a single piece space station for ya?

Did what I ask just make sence? I think that would be an awesome thing that you could do with SSBB especially for us guys that want to build a space station, but just can't afford to do it with our low end machines

Could be possible, but that would require A LOT of coding.

MYSS NEWS:

This is some serious launching my friend, ever thought about witting tutorials describing how u wrote the Scenarios an planned the launches to get your objects as close to each other as possible?

Did u use non-spherical gravity sources or gravity-gradient torque when u launched and built this?

I am curious if u could post examples of your .scn files so we can see how u loaded the cargo aboard various launchers. I do not know how to load stuff aboard rockets short of Sputnik's Velcro Rockets add-on and maybe I am just missing something but the Energia manual doesn't break down how to stick stuff to it

Oh almost forgot to ask... What is the total mass of your station at this time

I used non-spherical gravity sources and gravity-gradient torque for the first launches, but turning them off keeps the station from beginning to rotate and Orbiter runs much more stable if I use high time accelerations.

I'll post examples of the launches tomorrow.

I hate to turn those 2 features off... I feel like I am cheating, so I am keeping a Dragonfly connected so I can just do prograde autopilot before I launch and visit the station.

A few questions since your thread here has be building a station atm

1) is there a way to hide or turn off all the modules in the F3 window? my single HAB module atm is going to be plenty to visit

2) where can I find that Ummu module that your using, I like the idea of leaving crew up there...
