Hi fellow Orbinauts and OrbiGods! I'm new here, but have been a lurker for years. I posted a meet and greet thread earlier, be sure to stop by and say hello, or do it here. I searched for a solution to this issue for a few hours, but haven't seen anything that helps.

On to my problem.
I've been toying around with different space station addons for awhile now, and just today I came across an frustrating issue. I have an XR5 with an on board URMS. I have UCargoDeck attached as well. Using UCargoDeck, I loaded up a Zarya and a Zvezda from ISSv3.2 (the "IRSS" folder in scenario editor), along with a Neesys and PMA, both from OFSSIII. However, once I engage the engines and get maybe halfway down the runway, the Zarya and Zvezda modules disappear completely from the scenario. I tried pretty much every other module from ISS v3.2 and they all did the exact same thing.

Things I've tried/noticed:
The Orbiter log file shows no errors or any changes whatsoever, both before and after the modules disappeared. The log file is identical either way. I also tried 3 other Orbiter installs that I have, one of which is a clean install. I tried it on my other PC too, but had the same problem. The ReadMe's and addon docs didn't tell me much either.

I'm not at home right now so I can't post my log file, but I can when I get home if need be. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm pretty familiar with the various files for Orbiter, but this has got me racking my brain big time! :compbash2:

Any help or pointing in the right direction would be awesome!

I had a similar problem, but I never diagnosed a cure; only a work-around.

I wound up using Zarya and Zvezda from [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2600"]Zarya-J[/ame] and [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2874"]Zvezda-J[/ame]

And used this [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3853"]Tutorial: Configuring Payloads for XR Vessels[/ame] to modify each for the XR-5 payload bay.

There is this as well, but I've not tried it. But it looks like it might fit your needs? [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3312"]Universal Cargo Deck carrier for the XR5[/ame]

I have the payload tutorial and those addons, and I'm aware of how to use them, but thanks tho. The tutorial has come in handy on more than one occasion in the past.

I should be more clear that this issue isn't preventing me from using the ISS addon normally, like the scenarios that come with it or spawning modules in the scenario editor. It also doesn't cause any CTD when the modules disappear, they just simply vanish both visually and physically from the scenario. The first time it happened, I didn't even notice until I was in orbit around the moon, ready to start building a station. It was then that I started trying to diagnose the problem, and noticed it happened around the "V1" callout on the runway. A small workaround I found was to simply spawn the modules again after achieving my moon orbit. I feel that it may be a small and rare bug between the ISS v3.2 modules and UCargoDeck, but I wanted to see if anyone else could replicate it to make sure I'm not crazy.

This is probably a case of "its not bug, it's a feature".

Thorton's modules are destructible. You can de-orbit the ISS and get spectacular results.

What is probably happening is that the module is sensing the dynamic pressure and destructing itself, thinking that it is re-entering from orbit. The modules were intended for launch from Thorton's Proton, which is probably specially coded to prevent the modules from self-destructing. It was probably never intended for launch on UCargoDeck.

Try turning damage and failure simulation off.

Actually, damage and failure simulation has been off the entire time. That's definitely a tip for the memory bank tho, as I'm sure there is numerous other addons that would react in a similar way.

I read thru the ISS v3.2 support thread again as well but didn't see anything that helped either.
