Having already drunk much today, I've decided it merits to mention the holiday at the forum of my heart! :P So, here's my wish to everyone who celebrates the christmas today:

Καλά Χριστούγεννα!
С праздником Христова Рождества!
Веселого Різдва!
З Божым нараджэннем!
Христос се роди!
გილოცავ შობა-ახალ წელს
Շնորհավոր Ամանոր և Սուրբ Ծնունդ
Честита Коледа!
Среќен Божик!
Crăciun fericit!

... or just Merry Christmas again to everyone! :)

Let this holiday always gift a natural beauty to you!

Ваистину се роди!

Желим вам свима срећан божић и да га проведете у миру!

A happy and peaceful Christmas to everyone.

Lovely images, and a Happy New Year!

Yes, merry Orthodox Christmas, and a happy new year!

Does that make our Christmas "unorthodox"?

Well, besides the fact that you've changed the date and turned it from a celebration of Christ's birth into a fat guy who has children sit in his lap, then climbs into their houses in the middle of the night...wait, nevermind.

basically, it makes it catholic...;)

Somehow I got some bits sorted wrong in my head, I thought the eastern church celebrates christmass on the 6th?

Though not necessarily Roman catholic...

"Catholic" is one of these words that's often used differently than its true meaning. Unless you believe ... never mind. Don't want to start a hot discussion in a Christmas thread.

Technically, the "Roman Catholic Church" doesn't exist as such, either. As a Catholic, I can tell you that we never refer to ourselves as such. I don't recall where the phrase came from, but I'd be willing to bet it was outside the Church (not to say I don't know why 'Roman' gets slapped on there by some folks, mind you).

Yes, the original meaning of the word is "general" (not the person)
More like 'universal', but yes, same concept I suppose.

And yes, no hot debates in a Christmas thread. ;)

NORAD shows that Santa has just about finished the eastern hemisphere! :D
EDIT: Meant to put it in the other thread >_< but close enough.
