In the Mercury 5.0 scenarios the main parachute flattens into a small disk right after opening and then opens fully when the craft hits the water and stays fully open while floating. Not really important to the function of the flight but it looks goofy. Any suggestions?

This is a known problem that started happening when orbiter 2006 was released, and there is actually a patch for it that fixes the problem, however I can't seem to find the link at the moment.

lol. That means I wasn't crazy when I thought that there was a Mercury patch. I thought that I just confused it with Gemini and assumed that I was wrong about a Mercury patch. Anyways, yay, a patch! :p

Have looked for this for ages - so near and so far - The download does not work!
If anyone has this mod PLEASE could they e-mail it to me?
Thanks

Works for me. Maybe a temporary issue with your internet connection?

Have now solved the parachute problem which in turn has created another one!
I have lost the auto and sound facility? i.e when I switch from manual to auto.
Any ideas?

I just found this thread, i found a way to not ruin the main chute, before the chute opens turn the landing bag switch to off in the centre position, do not turn it back on, that is if you want a good chute.

So a good chute and a broken back landing, or a bad chute and... a broken back landing.

Pick your poison, eh?
