Bug Med-Res KSC and AutoFCS issues

I have recently installed the Med-res KSC add-on by kukanotas. The KSC scenery is very beautiful and clear. Even with the scenery, I have two major problems:

1. When using AutoFCS with the included KSC and Canaveral file, the Cape Canaveral runways are not detected. Meanwhile, the original Canaveral file has detectable runways for the AutoFCS.

2. When using other solar systems, like Sol_1962 or AMSO\Sol, there are a few surftiles from the Med-Res KSC add-on that overlap.

(Note: The KSCrwy texture is the runway texture included in the Med-res KSC installation. I just renamed it.)

I also have installed usonian's Vandenberg add-on with the same odd results with the AutoFCS.

Help would be very much appreciated.

I have installed David413's 4.1.8 special edition expansion pack. Even with the updated positions and LandSiteTable.ini, I still have the same results with AutoFCS. I have found similar threads that have this issue and no one seemed to have answered.

Help would be very much appreciated.

I have no great experience with AutoFCS, but I understand it assumes the old (pre Orbiter 2006) Config directory layout. There is some info on OrbiterWiki that will helpfully get you pointed in the right direction (no pun intended):

i had the same problem with autofcs,

here is what i did:

i put the runway information in the config files directly after BEGIN_OBJECTLIST and deleted the comment (; SLF Runway 33/15)

let me know if that helps.

not sure what the problem with the overlapping surface titles is but i'm guessing that the problem is that both the canaveral.cfg and ksc.cfg have surfacetitles informaition in them.

1. Sadly, the technique didn't work. Runways 15\33 and 13\31 are still not appearing in AutoFCS. The other runways in the other bases work fine though.

2. The only similarity I found between the surftiles is 3 -917 323 3. Do you know a fix for this?

where do you have your canaveral.cfg file?

i played a bit with the surface titles and it is like i guessed.

the best solution is to delete the surface information completely in the canaveral.cfg or the ksc.cfg file. i think it is better to delete it in the canaveral.cfg because if you start a scenario from the shuttle fleet add-on it will load sol_alt.cfg and earth_alt.cfg, thus it will only load ksc.cfg (of course you could edit that in the earth_alt.cfg)
