General Question Mass-equivalent payloads

Hello,

I'm interested in simulating some real world rocket launches. We have few very good rocket addons, but for the most part, they come with few most popular payloads, while in the real world mass of a satellite to be put to orbit can vary. What is a good satellite addon with text configurable properties (I want, at least, a configurable mass), compatible with most rocket addons?

Looks and aerodynamics of the satellite isn't too important for me at this point.

I was talking to woo482 sometime back about this. What he came up with was a 'mass simulator' which is basically a sphere with a huge fuel tank and so you vary the mass by changing the amount of fuel.

My understanding is that this is fairly close to real world where mass is simulated with water tanks. I'll speak to Woo482 and see if it can be uploaded.

I think this is the addon Gary's talking about? http://woo482.gdwnet.com/Files/Addons/MassSimulator1_ISA.zip it's a pretty simple mesh but it should do what you need, just change the mass line in the configuration file :thumbup:

If you set the mass to 1, you can change the fuel on the fly using the scenario editor.
