This is an addon that includes real-life launch commentaries of individual Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launches that will hopefully supplement/enhance the compilation made over the years by Kyle's SpaceX Mission Package (2016-Present).

To prevent myself from overwriting Kyle's addon, there are NO SCENARIO FILES INCLUDED in the compilations, just the MS2015 guidance files and .WAV only....

HOW TO INSTALL:
  1. Download first the SpaceX Mission Package (2016-Present) addon, and everything the latter requires
  2. On every .ZIP file, there is a .TXT file located outside, copy the data written on that .TXT and paste it on the .SCN file of the same name
  3. Do not fast-forward time when you reach T-35 seconds before launch, since many .WAVs start after that time
  4. Flights 1 to 5 are entirely coded in MS2015, which uses meshes from SpaceX launch vehicles and Dragon (by glider) to represent the original iteration of the Falcon 9 (V1.0)
LIMITATIONS:
  1. WAV audio ends shortly after booster separation because almost every event that happens after MECO in real-life do not match what we see on simulation
  2. As a result, there are NO SOUNDS FOR BOOSTER LANDINGS (yet)....I don't know why but MS2015 refuses to play it when I originally added it

Thanks to BrianJ, Kyle, francisdrake and everyone else who brought SpaceX 's creations to life on Orbiter

Thanks,

Could you give a simple procedure to incorporate the sound files in the downloads from BrianJ, without the mission downloads from Kyle?

Thanks,

Could you give a simple procedure to incorporate the sound files in the downloads from BrianJ, without the mission downloads from Kyle?

Since the sounds ran using Multistage2015, it is complicated to run properly without syncing the countdown timers of both the Falcon 9 and MS2015, hence why Kyle's Mission Package is highly recommended....nevertheless, here's what you have to do:

1) Copy the data from the .TXT and paste it on a Falcon 9 .SCN of your choice

2) Open up Orbiter and set the Falcon 9's timer at about 5 minutes after the simulation starts (Example: If scenario time begins at 12:00 UTC, then set the Falcon 9's liftoff time to 12:05 UTC)

3) Immediately close Orbiter and open the (Current State).scn on WordPad. Find the very last line (LOTM) on a Falcon 9 below:
Code:

  LOTM 12 05 00 1
END
4) Copy and paste the highlighted line on your .SCN file of your choice

5) Reopen Orbiter

Added launch audios for three Falcon 9 missions:
  • Flight 45 = SpaceX CRS-13
  • Flight 52 = SpaceX CRS-14

  • Flight 69 = SpaceX Demo-1
  • Flight 84 = Starlink L6

UPDATE: 2020-Dec-15

Added launch audios for four Falcon 9 missions:
  • Flight 73 = SpaceX CRS-18
  • Flight 82 = SpaceX CRS-20
  • Flight 98 = SpaceX Crew-1
  • Flight 101 = SpaceX CRS-21
On SpaceX CRS-21, commentary for the launch will not be heard until T+50 seconds into flight (like in real life). As such, the difference during the engine start between Orbiter simulation and real-life is apparent

Fixed guidance.txt and file locations for all flights in 2019, now the launch audios are playing in sync during simulation

UPDATE: 2020-Dec-16

Added launch audios for two Falcon 9 missions:
  • Flight 42 = Iridium NEXT-3
  • Flight 46 = Iridium NEXT-4
On Iridium NEXT-3, overwrite the Falcon 9 with the new one included in the .TXT file so that the automatic countdown is activated at scenario start and to allow synchronization with the .WAV audio. Also, overwrite the Date MJD with the new one (it is closer to the mission's actual launch date/time)

Can't get the Demo-2 thing to work (the only thing I have added). Orbiter keeps crashing. Here's my scenario thing.
