Vash and who ever created the addon

Okay...so who decides which addons are indexed?
All addons should be listed there, IMO, as it makes it much, much easier to find them.

If an author doesn't want people finding and using his or her addons, then they should be excluded from OrbitHangar, but I don't see why someone wouldn't want people finding their addons.

I am puzzled why this forum segment is titled "OrbitHangar - New Releases" as the last few announcements on it have been neither new, nor hosted on OrbitHangar.

Mustard has made a legitimate request, and his position should be honoured. This thread is becoming more a criticism of the design elements of his website which is nobody's business but his, unless he invites feedback.

Further discussion in this vein should be moved to OffTopic or locked as it is not about "OrbitHangar - New Releases".

The announcements are completely automated and they happen whenever a new addon is added to OrbitHangar. No one is intentionally claiming that these are new or on OrbitHangar. However, their presence on OrbitHangar is new, since they are now being indexed there.

Well, orbithangar is Vash's site, so I assume it would be up to him what is and isn't indexed, however the whole point in doing this is to index ALL addons for Orbiter in one place.

The posts in this forum are completely automated and are generated via the RSS feed from orbithangar anytime a new addon is posted to OHM's database.

We do respect Mustard's position, however there is no need to make any brash decisions here. Let's not forget Vash donated his time to make it possible to index addons in one place which thus far no one else has done because of the sheer work envloved in such a project. I've just learned that Vash and Mustard are communicating via email about this so there is no reason to continue this discussion any further.

I personally like all that all Orbiter Add-ons are listed on OH. This brought me to Mustards page (and other pages) that I have forgotten to check lately.

The fact that the download link in OH just links to the Authors Homepage helps IMHO to attract more visitors.

I couldn't keep track of all the various Add-on pages outside of OH. But now I have a good chance to do so. I even browsed along on Mustards page to see what else he has to offer.

Maybe I am different, but I usually like to click the Author's pages to learn more about their creations (more screenshots, tutorials, news, upcoming releases, etc.).

So setting the "Download Link" on OH to the Author's page instead of a direct link to the add-on might be satisfying for everyone concerned. (especially in the case of Mustard who doesn't have a link menu on all of his sub-pages)

Just my opinion, but feel free to delete this post if it seems inappropriate.

That's great news Mustard, I'm very happy to see you guys were able to come to an agreement.
