Joystick mapper

Say, does anyne know a general joystick mapper for PC? I know there's USB override that does the trick pretty good on Mac, but I never stumbled upon something similiar for the PC.

By joystick mapper I mean a general tool that lets you map buttons to keyboard commands. I know most Joysticks have this specificaly, but I'm trying to get my (absolutely standard and cheap) gamepad to run with some Arcade games that don't have native joystick support...

Ah, I tried that once. It did exactly the oposite of what I wanted: emulating a joystick from keyboard inputs... :dry:

I lost my CD for my Sidewinder joystick.
So I can't remap buttons.
Any ideas?
Will it do the trick??

You can download that software at Microsoft, if I'm not terribly mistaken...
