Is it possible to increase the max warp above 100000x?

I ask because I enjoy taking trips out to the outer planets (using IMFD). Whilst this is great fun, I do end up twiddling my thumbs for 20 mins+ even at max. time warp, due to the distances involved.

No, not possible. Try loading the Tetris MFD so you can play a few games while you're waiting.

Put it this way... if there is a limit to how much time compression is allowed in the Orbiter then I would think there is a certain inaccuracy. But since the time compression is only possible to a certain level, I suppose the inaccuracy is still within acceptable levels.

Mathematically speaking, integration isn't perfectly accurate as far as I know and so if you're integrating shorter steps, you're gonna end up with greater precision.

Reminds me of someone who commented a few months ago that he never used time compression, not even x10. This limited him to cislunar flights with the computer running for days on end.

Well, my computer runs 24/7... in fact, I can't sleep without hearing the fan, but taking 5 days to get to the Moon? Thanks, but no thanks :p

I am just like that.
5 days is nothing though... I ran a realtime mars mission for over 6 month on a dedicated orbiter machine :beach:

This only for a little more precision?

No No... Just because I liked to, and because it is really cool :speakcool:
There is nothing like the thrill of seeing mars for the first time after that time!

What I do in cases like this is use scenario editor to set the date ahead, with "propogate
osculating elements" checked.

I also do missions in real time. Phoenix, aim, shuttle missions, dawn, etc. I have a "current_reality" scenario which has all these, and more.

Pause Orbiter and get into scenario editor.
Go to change date and set all dropdown controls to propagate elements.
Change date to a date right before arrival time.
Then you have instant warp.
